And God said, "Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering of the waters He called Seas: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:9,10
And God said, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life... Genesis 1:20
Water. . . It's what separates our planet from all the other rocks floating in space. And it's what makes our planet a shining gem in the midst of God's universe. I was lucky to be born next to Virginia's shores of the Atlantic Ocean. I grew up swimming in the ocean, the Chesapeake Bay and the many inlets of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.
The overwhelming vastness of the sea can quickly put humanity into perspective.
I invite you to experience the birthplace of our country. Take a drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, one of the seven engineering wonders of the world. See the islands off the eastern shore peninsula. Walk along the many miles of secluded beaches of Virginia's Wildlife Preserves. Smell the salt air. Listen to the sounds of the gulls. Watch the pelicans flying just above the breaking waves. Experience the joy of seeing the spray of a passing whale, or a group of leaping dolphins.
Be a part of this awesome creation, and view the Creator’s artwork in Virginia or wherever you find yourself.
