The mountains of Virginia are some of the oldest in the world. They stretch more than 600 miles along the entire western border of the state, and their serenity and beauty can only be understood by experience.
My adventures high above the craziness of humanity have helped me see what's really important in my life--and in this world.
I encourage you to come and take part in this ancient experience for the health of your body, mind and spirit.
Drive along Skyline Drive or the Blue Ridge Parkway. Walk along some of the thousands of miles of hiking trails, including 540 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Watch our sun rise or set around our spinning planet. Pitch a tent, and spend a night under a canopy of stars. Put your feet in a cold stream, or stand next to one of Virginia's breathtaking waterfalls. See the seasonal changes of the trees, the wildflowers and the wildlife.
